During the Gatufesten festival i shot a gigapixel image during the concert with Sean Paul. The image was shot with a Nikon D800 mounted on a Gigapan Epic Pro which shot 105 images that later was stitched together and created the big image of the audience! It’s now possible to find yourself in the image and tag you and your friends.

We did a testshot the night before during Takidas concert, which you can see here: http://gigapan.com/gigapans/109019
ps big thanks to Olle Melkerhed who managed to get a shot of me during the concert 🙂

Well, the other day it was time for yet another cover for LAJV Magazine. This time it was Anna Frisk, the CEO of the festival Gatufesten. This year the festival celebrates its 25:th year so what would be better than to use ballons and cakes in the picture!:)
The weather was really on our side this day! The sun shined like it never had shined before. And though i totally forgot to charge my battery packs the evening before, i got time just before the shot to charge them just enough to have power for the shoot, but the red lights and the warning signal was flashing and beeping like never before in the end!
The light setup was just is i use to have it, but during the last shoots i’ve stopped using the grids on the back lights as it gives a little bit more “Kablaam!” 😀

A couple of weeks ago i made the shortest music video ever! Well, not it was not really me making it. Corroded had shot their new music video in Stockholm and a couple of additional shots where needed to complete it. So of i went to the fabulous parking garage in town 🙂 My actor for the day, Bjarne from Corroded, did a excellent job rocking in front of my camera to the music coming from ur very small stereo!
The finished video looks great! You will see it soon!

About a week ago i went up to Sättnabanan (a dragracing strip) where me and my assistant/son was going to shoot new pictures for hard rock band Corroded. Well, i took some time getting there, i went in the completely wrong direction so we got there about 40 minutes after we where supposed to! 😀
The theme for the shots was, of course, a little bit of the race car/motorcycle-look. But we took some shots with just the band as well.
Besides a smashe lamp Profoto lamp head the shoot turned out really cool. We had some rain just waiting to pour down on us but i didn’t come until we where on our way home!
I’ll post the finished images as soon as they’re ready!

The last picture for this time in France! Yesterday we went up to Annecy, where we was to shoot on a golf course. All night before we left, I had a “charging party” with myself in my hotel room. 6 battery packs to the Profoto generators were all to be charged and only three outlets … Well, it went well anyway 🙂
When we got to the golf course we went past the golf shop and got some props. I just had to ask the girl that worked there, where she had learned English so well, her response was “I’m from Scotland”: D
Then we went with the golf cart to select the best place to be among the 19 holes, of course, it was the closest to the hole that we finally decided on after half an hour of bumping around the track.
The shoot went great despite a number of passing by golfers who probably thought we were really a pain the …. I think it could maybe have something to do with me screaming during the shoot, but i’m not sure 😀 …
Everyone did a great job in the scorching heat, even the Jack Russell dog who acted as himself seemed to enjoy it. And if you’re wondering why one of the guys in the group picture is standing and pointing down, he is saying “sit” to the dog that just when the camera went off, decided to leave the place 🙂
Now i just have to pack everything again and head back home to Sweden and the holi … no, i’ll have to work a little bit more …

Yesterday we packed the car full of photo gear and wheel chairs and headed towards Morzine, a small mountain village where the next picture would be shot. The model for the image was Yohann Taberlet, one of the world’s best skiers who’s currently training full time for the Paraolympics 2014. An incredibly nice guy, nothing seemed impossible for him!
After a few hours we were finally there and started looking for a good location. Sometimes i had to pinch myself in the arm because it was so amazingly beautiful everywhere we went! Finally we found a hill that was perfect.
For this picture we had rented an old Citroen 2CV that Yohann would “pack” with sporting gear.
After rigging the lights and equipment that would be in the car, we could finally begin to shoot. Yohann was, as I thought, fantastic! We worked for several hours with the image, and in fact it was the very last exposures that turned out the best!
Now it is an image still here in France and it is on a golf course in another city, but more on that later!

Last week it was time again to shoot the next cover for LAJV Magazine. This issue was a special about AIR Festival which is a kind of club / dance festival in the middle of Sundsvall city. The two guys who organize the festival, Eric & Andrew, was to be photographed. This year’s theme for the festival is “circus”, so not to surprisingly, I wanted to do something on that! I thought it would be cool to mix up a little Slipknot / the Joker / Blues Brothers in the picture!
Sometimes you have to have some luck, especially with these shoots since it’s often quite short on time. But the same weekend as we were going to shoot this there was in fact a real Circus in town, Cirkus Brazil Jack!
Anyway, Eric and Andrew had to get up early to get their make-up while I went out and checked out the circus. They had not yet raised the tent, but all the cirkus trailers were there. I met a super nice guy who worked there who helped us get into the area and let us borrow one of the trailers for the shoot.
The sun was really hot all day! I had to lie under a blanket to see anything on the computer and Robin from LAJV acted as a lens hood for me. After we had photographed at two different locations at the circus, we were finally ready! The results coming soon! : D
