Days at work

Some time ago i shot an ad campaign together with Sweetpop. It was aimed at parents to get the to buy things for them selves since they had been nice the whole year long! Together with the ads they launched a campaign on facebook where you could test who’s been the nicest.

The model was an actor and it was really easy to shoot him, actors often have very easy to take instructions and can with very small changes do big difference in expressions etc.

The lighting was made with three rimlights, two Profoto striplights 45 degrees from the back, one Profoto softbox from above. The mainlight was a Profoto softbox from the right and a Profoto ringflash.

Today is a big day! One of my clients, Prosharp, applied to the ISPO Award 2015/2016. ISPO is the worlds biggest sport exhibition in the world with more than 80.000 visitors and 2400 exhibitors! Just a couple of weeks ago Prosharp got a letter where they told them that the competition had been very hard and many very strong participants missed out on awards, but not yours! The congratulated on the highest award in the photo section, The ISPO Gold Award 2015/2016!

So you can guess who’s going to be in Munich together with the team from Prosharp on the 6:th of february! That’s when the ISPO Award show will take place!

A big congratulation to us!!

These are the three pictures that was sent to the competition

Every year i help the local newspaper and Lions Sweden to take a group photo of this years lucia candidates. This year i wanted to create some kind of feeling of angels in a fantasy ice land 🙂
All the candidates was shot in studio and then put together in photoshop. The background was built from different images i had in my archive from earlier shoots + i got some really nice houses from Frequent Flyer Agency, I’ve bought images from them before, very good selection and really easy to do business with! The clouds around the candidates was made from a home-made cloud brush!

Today was the first ad published in a campaign that SCA Forest Products has. During the shoot they also made a short commercial. On one of the three days of recording i was there shooting for the ad campaign. A pink butterfly built in 3D was to be integrated in the shot.
It was a little work getting the butterfly to integrate with the image, but after some time we got it just as they wished!

All together i shot four images for the campaign and four more allround images!

At last, Prosharp’s picture of the season is finally ready! I hope you like it!

I do a lot of portraits for different brand magazines, so last week i went down to Hudiksvall to shoot a portrait for Kias magazine “Kia Story”. Each issue has a portrait of a Kia owner with their car. I started looking for a good location as soon as i arrived. The best spot i found was of course a little bit hard to drive to! But after some phone calls and a permit it all worked out.

The light was made by three Profoto softboxes. One Profoto Large in front of her, one 2×3 from the right lighting the ground behind her and one 3×4 lighting the car just a little bit. Besides the fact that it was blowing half storm the shoot went very well, i had to do some catching flying lightstands though 🙂

Last week i shot a magazine cover for a tourist magazine. It was a winter issue and the cross country skier Johan Olsson with his family was to sit in the snow enjoying the sun! 🙂 But i didn’t have any snow or sun! So i ordered snow from the closest hockey arena and i used my Profoto flashes to create sunlight! About an hour before the shoot the big truck came with all the snow. After that i started setting up the lights. I wanted to have the “sun” straight in the camera from the trees behind them so i took my tallest stand with a lamphead and a Magnum reflector. I also lit some of the forest with another lamphead and the mainlight was a open Profoto softbox from the right.

The shoot went really well even though we had a really thick mist going on, and of course the sun came out the minute i was back from the shoot!

Last week it was finally time for one of the most fun job i do, which i do one time a year, it’s the “Picture of the Season” for Prosharp! This years theme was customizing, where we wanted to show how easy it is to get a perfect profile for each player. In the picture we had a professor working on the machine in his workshop. We built up a really nice place inside Prosharps workshop, using a lot of really cool and odd tools and props. Most of the time went into setting the light and building the environment where the “professor” was to act.

the lighting was two Profoto Magnum reflectors as rimlight, one Profoto 3×4 softbox in front from the side and Profoto Ringflash. I shot it with the PhaseOne P65+ and the Hasselblad HC50mm lens.

I shot a new cover for Saron the other day. She is releasing her first singel on Ninetone Records any day now. It was a really fast shoot and delivery as well! I did the lighting with two Profoto Striplights (large) and no front light. I did take some with the Profoto ProBig as front light but that is for press images later!

Just the other week i shot a new group for Keios Entertainment, Lovelipop. It’s a visual-pop girl group. It’s the artist YOHIO that is behind this project. After setting up all the lights and adjusting the studio for the shoot we could get started. I had some square boxes we used as props. for  them to sit on. After some time we started getting the right look and feel in the picture, and then it was all perfect for the rest of the shoot! Everybody did a great job, especially since it is probably kind of hard understanding what we mean when we try to explain how we want them to pose.

The lighting was a new one! One Profoto ProBig, ring flash and a 3×4 foot softbox, and there was a lot of light! 😀

After two different group images we shot individual portraits too.
