I got a really fun assignment recently! It is to create new images for Permobil. I don’t think there are many people that don’t know about them, but it’s one of the worlds biggest electric wheelchair manufacturers 🙂
I have written a long list of ideas for this job, and from this we have chosen a couple of ideas. Since Permobil do business all over the world we will make two images here in Sweden, two in Nashville/USA and two in Lyon/France.
We did the first shoot just the other day and it was based on an idea that Permobil had about a person going to the hairdresser. After a couple of days thinking and planing i had the idea clear in my mind. We scouted models, props and clothes. Found the location which, after being to every hairdresser in the area, was inside City Hall. Actually a corner inside City Hall which worked out perfectly! I wanted it to look like a really expensive salon with a twist!
After a lot of rigging and moving of furniture i was ready to shoot! As always me and the model ended up screaming at each other to get the right feeling 😀
I’ll post the finished image as soon as i’m allowed to!

The image i made fot Prodharp a couple of weeks ago was delivered, but i have been kept working on it anyway. But NOW it’s finished! 🙂 I’ve added another guy in the front, made it wider and added more audience and flashes. I also made one version even wider to be used as a big backdrop.

A good while ago i did a test shoot for a jewelry company. They didn’t use my images, they shot everything more clean. Nothing wrong in that, even if i like my images better 🙂

When i a couple of weeks ago shot for Dragons Basketball we shot two images, one that i wrote about earlier and this one. This image was to be a little bit darker than the pictures from last year but still with some super hero feeling. We did a little flirt with the movie poster to Star Wars, a Phantom Menace, where Anakin gets the shadow of Darth Vader. But we chose another cool guy in the shadow 😀

A couple of days ago i shot yet another cover for LAJV Magazine. It was a portrait of Johan Pierre, aka Xavier. He’s a basketballplayer/rapper and now also T-shirt designer. The theme for the shoot was a little bit like The Empereor’s new clothes and the location we found was City Hall. One little problem was that it’s being renovated so we had almost no light at all. But things could have been worse 😀
We collected some props from some rooms there, a chair and some pillows. The crown, scepter and mantle had been manufactured by Finn at LAJV!
As for the lighting there was no surprises. Two Magnum reflectors 45 degrees from behind, ringflash and a couple of flashes lighting the stairs behind Johan.

The Prosharp image is done and delivered at last! Fells great! But it was no picnic, a 5.9GB file, 106 layers in Photoshop and the hours put in! But it’s hard to quite when it’s so much fun! The image is done in two versions, one with the reporters in the front and one without them, this to be able to use it in a more portrait like layout …
It’s kind of fun to look at the sketch i did before we started shooting and compare it to the finished result
The lighting was done with two Profoto Magnum reflectors with grids in 45 degrees from the back, a Profoto Softlight reflector with grid behind/above the model, a softbox from the right and a Profoto ringflash.
Can’t wait to see it put together with logos, text etc …

A couple of days ago we did a new shoot for Prosharp. I’ve shot for them before, more about the old pictures for Prosharp here & here. This time we’re making a retro picture à la the 60s. The feeling is to show a classical hockey pose when a team just won the Stanley Cup and raises the cup to the sky, only this time they raise the Prosharp instead! Everybody was shot seperately and will be put together in Photoshop later. Peter who is the art director has collected a bunch of old hockey things that will be in the image, even the camera that the photographer is using is from the right decade! 🙂
Everybody did a fantastic job and the result will come as soon as i’m done with all the compositing!

About two weeks ago i shot the new cover for LAJV Magazine. This time it was a portrait of Jennifer, who’s a bertender at the Daltons Saloon! Well you just see it don’t you!? Saloon!!! How cool isn’t that! My idea was of course to use the whole western theme in the shot! Some props and clothes was picked up at a second hand place and all the equipment was packed into the car.
I didn’t have the idea super clear in my head but i had been there earlier so i knew where to set the camera and i knew the angle. When i set up everything all the bits fell in place! A dusty saloon where a crazy cowboy gets beaten up by the bartender, in this case our bartender 🙂 It can’t get much more fun!
To get people to let go and do things they normally don’t do like screaming for example (which they do in like 98% of my images 😉 ) is almost impossible to do if you don’t do it with them! How will i be able to convince them to do something you won’t do yourself? Well it was a Kristofer without any voice at all who after a lot of screaming packed his things and went back to the studio!
A big thanks to both Jennifer and of course Kim, who with almost no notice at all came and acted villain in the bar! 🙂
