The advertising agency Sweet Williams & POP is putting together a big campaign for Sundsvalls Tidning (a Swedish newspaper) and was asked to shoot the four pictures they needed. Last friday we went out to shoot the first two. The first one was in a big lunch room and after some up and down-going with the elevator we had everything we needed and could start to set up. After some moving people and lights around we had our picture and it was off to the next place.
The second picture was to me shot in a kitchen. Since i needed some “night light” through the window we put some lights outside the house as well. This picture was shot in two steps, first we shot the person sitting inside the house, and then the picture for the outside part of the picture.

All the images i’ve made for Prosharp is really my little darlings 😀 They have always trusted me by giving me more or less free creativity. The images have been very popular at shows and in print.
The other day it was time for yet another image for them. We had discussed some ideas illustrating the theme they wanted for this years image, speed. They wanted to show that a pair of skates sharpened with a Prosharp skates faster than the competition.
We had ideas of old ladies jumping around on the ice but after a while we came up with the idea of a little boy skating faster than a couple of big icehockey players. Props and models needed to be fixed and Elin from Prosharp did an excellent job interperating my sometimes not so clear thoughts! 🙂
We took the image in three seperate shots, one for the boy, one for the hockey players and on for the background!

This is how the Lucia-image turned out (you can read about the shoot here). It ran as a full page add, that’s why it’s so “tall”, i really like it! All the models where shot individually and put together in Photoshop. The town below is made out of different images of the old stone houses here in my town. The moon is drawn by me from scratch.

I got the assignment to shoot the advertising agency Frosting à la Mad Men, it’s for a thing they will be doing later this year. How much fun isn’t that!? Myself and Jonas at Frosting started last week by scouting locations, the one we felt would work best was the bar at The Bishops Arms just beside Knaust Hotel.
Today i got there at noon and started setting up the lights right away, i had to try to guess where all the ten persons would stand. In the back of the bar i set up a smoke machine to make the back of the picture less “contrasty”.
We had got a bunch of small props as well! Life magazine, ashtrays, lighter, a notebook in brown leather etc. We also had a bunch of fake drinks set up on the bar. All the hair and makeup was made by My and she even helped me get some behind-the-scenes-images! Great job!
To be able to control al the colors in post easier i filtered all the lights after the ambient light in the bar, then it was show time! I shot the image on a 1/2 of a second so i had the mirror up and the models dead still! But of course it was sharp as a razor any way 😉

I got the assignment to shoot a commercial and stills for Birsta City shopping center to be used in their christmas campaign this year. The stills will be used on posters and on a huge banner on the front of the building. The TV-spot will be aired in TV4 and used on their website.
Me and Andreas from the agency Sweet Williams & POP started the day with putting down all the ideas, later on we started setting the light while the models where getting their makeup done. We began shooting the stills and then went over to filming. Me and Torbjörn Bergkvist filmed the spot together.

At last i’m finished with the Dragons second image! Here you can see both the first sketch i did and the finished image. The ship i built was shot in my studio and then put together with the rest of the image in Photoshop. When i shot it i had a low resolution version of the almost ready picture in Capture One, the application which i use when i shoot, so i could see what angle the ship needed to be in to look the best.
The birds that flies in the image was shot just outside my studio the same day i needed them. Me and Jonas stood a while on the parking lot outside the studio waiting until one of us shouted “There, to the left by the roof!!” and then the other person aimed the tele lens at the birds and started shooting! 😀
Maybe the sketch is somewhat hard to see, but i got the final picture pretty much as was intended!

The last couple of years i have been asked to shoot a group image of the years Lucia candidates. I have always had complete freedom in doing whatever i wanted with the idea of the image. This year i shot all the candidates separately and will merge them together with some other fun things! What the result looks like you’ll be able to see here very soon!

I needed a boat for one of my pictures so i built one in 3D, in real life! 🙂 The right colour was fixed with some spray cans. Now i’ll just have to shoot it in the exact right angle and then put it in the image!
