My little project with portraits continues … This time i went down to Bålsta to shoot Lasse Åberg, famous artist & actor. As a bonus I had my entire family with my as assistants! 🙂
We met up with Lasse at the Åbergs Museum. Unfortunately the rain was hanging in the sky and both the light and the sky was completely flat! I found a place where i started setting up and took some test shots. Everything looked like crap!! The stress and the sweat began coming, will everything just become crap now?
After some kind of panic I found another location that was less crap. We moved everything there and set up again. Took a shot and it was not as bad as before, but not great!
After a while Lasse came over and just as he entered our little set-up the sun came and i got a perfect blue sky with white clouds!
The theme for the shoot was pretty simple, Lasse was hanging up banana skins to dry 🙂 I took three different images of Lasse. I think two of them will make it into my project!
I shot the band Black Jack recently. They wanted something a little bit more different than they had in earlier shoots. So we built an old looking studiolooking place in a big garage. It took some time with everything from saxophone to old chairs that needed to be moved around. After i set up the light i saw that i had some flare coming from one of the flashes in the background, but nothing that couldn’t be flagged off with an old cymbal!
I’ve done a lot for BOX Whisky lately. Last week i did some shots for their limited box of Box Early Days Collection. It’s a collection of the four first released versions. Shot in the studio with a old barn door as backdrop.
Here’s a clip from a shoot last summer! It shows just how soft and calm it can be during a shoot!
A big thanks to Johan Lehman for shooting it!
Här kommer ett litet klipp från en fotografering jag gjorde förra sommaren! Visar ganska bra hur fridfullt det kan vara på en fotografering!
Ett stort tack till Johan Lehman för bakomfilmen!
Too much of anything often turns out great in an image! With that in mind i portrayed Swedish YouTube-star Clara Henry! Since she just wrote a book about the period, i got the terrific idea of covering her completely in blood! 😀 When i nervously called her to ask if i could take here portrait, she asked: Yes, but it depends on what you had in mind … And when i then, even more nervously, explained that i wanted to cover her in blood she replied: Yes! That sounds super fun!!
My idea was to have Clara at a bar completely covered in blood drinking a Bloody Mary holding a celery stick! Blood + Clara Henry + Celery + bar = Bloody Henry!
I got the blood at Maskspecialisten.se, and they where really helpful when i asked all my questions regarding blood and which kind was the best for this!
My biggest fear was that the blood would stain and that Clara would be all pink after trying to wash of the blood! But after tips about using a really fat lotion and sprying her hair i kept my fingers crossed that it would not stain!
We did the shot at Hotell Resen where the bar was closed between 14.00 – 16.00. After some setting up the lights and covering the bar, floor and chairs in plastic we could begin! The bar now looked like a episode of Dexter! All we had to do now was to pour all the blood over Clara! The blood was very cold, Clara was shaking as we covered her! Clara really did an amazing job at the bar! The shots turned out great!
Also during this shoot the magazine Kamera&Bild came along and Torbjörn shot some behind the scenes material. A big thanks to Patricia at Agent Franke för the behind the scenes photos!

Before christmas i shot some images for Caroline Af Ugglas single, now it was time for the album! We shot in a somewhat tougher location than before, the garage of a hotel outside Stockholm. It was a very cold day, -10° below (Celsius) and just a tad warmer in the garage! So no wonder that poor Caroline was freezing! But the photos turned out great!! 😀
My personal project is moving forward! Last week it was time for yet another portrait, this time Lars-Åke “Babsan” Wilhelmsson, Swedens most known drag artist! Most people know his big pink wig! For me he’s a visual dream to shoot, he’s all done with much of everything!!
The idea was to shoot Babsan at the barber, being shaved. So we needed real classy barbershop! Luckily we came in contact with Peter who owns Roy & Son, a really cool place on Södermalm in Stockholm! After some carrying and setting up we were ready, setting up lights in a very small barbershop full of people cutting and shaving customers is always a challenge! 😀 After a while Babsan was ready and came and it felt perfect right away! I often scream and shout together with the people i shoot while i shoot, maybe not the best of ideas in a crowded and full working barbershop, so i went with the more quieter version today! 😀
During the shoot we had company from the magazine Kamera & Bild who came along to write something about the project! My friend and video-guru Torbjörn shot some behind-the-scenes video as well!
When i shot Caroline Af Ugglas for my project we also shot new images for her upcoming single! We did the shoot at her home where i set up a little “studio”. We did three different shots, one in a golden chair, one just standing and one by a big mirror with lights around it.

A pretty cold day! That was what we had when i shot portrait of Caroline Af Ugglas. The idea i had was to have her all tangled up in leather leashes and have her hold two sheeps :)Since i have the worlds best agent, Patricia at Agent Franke, we had two beautiful sheeps at the location when we got there! The place we shot at had a really cool road with old oaks along both sides!
But one thing i thought about was if the model is all tangled up and holds two sheeps, and the sheeps start running the model will fall. Well the sheeps saw another sheep and got all crazy and started pulling until Caroline fell over 🙂 No harm done though!
The shoot went very well and Caroline was fantastic! Patricia took some behind-the-scenes images inbetween chasing sheeps!
A gigantic thanks to Clas who supplied us with the sheeps!
