When i a couple of weeks ago shot for Dragons Basketball we shot two images, one that i wrote about earlier and this one. This image was to be a little bit darker than the pictures from last year but still with some super hero feeling. We did a little flirt with the movie poster to Star Wars, a Phantom Menace, where Anakin gets the shadow of Darth Vader. But we chose another cool guy in the shadow 😀

A couple of days ago i shot yet another cover for LAJV Magazine. It was a portrait of Johan Pierre, aka Xavier. He’s a basketballplayer/rapper and now also T-shirt designer. The theme for the shoot was a little bit like The Empereor’s new clothes and the location we found was City Hall. One little problem was that it’s being renovated so we had almost no light at all. But things could have been worse 😀
We collected some props from some rooms there, a chair and some pillows. The crown, scepter and mantle had been manufactured by Finn at LAJV!
As for the lighting there was no surprises. Two Magnum reflectors 45 degrees from behind, ringflash and a couple of flashes lighting the stairs behind Johan.

A couple of days ago we did a new shoot for Prosharp. I’ve shot for them before, more about the old pictures for Prosharp here & here. This time we’re making a retro picture à la the 60s. The feeling is to show a classical hockey pose when a team just won the Stanley Cup and raises the cup to the sky, only this time they raise the Prosharp instead! Everybody was shot seperately and will be put together in Photoshop later. Peter who is the art director has collected a bunch of old hockey things that will be in the image, even the camera that the photographer is using is from the right decade! 🙂
Everybody did a fantastic job and the result will come as soon as i’m done with all the compositing!

About two weeks ago i shot the new cover for LAJV Magazine. This time it was a portrait of Jennifer, who’s a bertender at the Daltons Saloon! Well you just see it don’t you!? Saloon!!! How cool isn’t that! My idea was of course to use the whole western theme in the shot! Some props and clothes was picked up at a second hand place and all the equipment was packed into the car.
I didn’t have the idea super clear in my head but i had been there earlier so i knew where to set the camera and i knew the angle. When i set up everything all the bits fell in place! A dusty saloon where a crazy cowboy gets beaten up by the bartender, in this case our bartender 🙂 It can’t get much more fun!
To get people to let go and do things they normally don’t do like screaming for example (which they do in like 98% of my images 😉 ) is almost impossible to do if you don’t do it with them! How will i be able to convince them to do something you won’t do yourself? Well it was a Kristofer without any voice at all who after a lot of screaming packed his things and went back to the studio!
A big thanks to both Jennifer and of course Kim, who with almost no notice at all came and acted villain in the bar! 🙂

Well, it was that time again! Time to shoot the cover for Birsta City Magazine. As usually we did the shoot just outside the shopping center and the theme was of course, Christmas!! And what would the christmas issue be without a truck full of snow! But there’s no snow in october?! Yes there is! You just have to know where to find it 😉
With the snow in place it was time to start shaping the snow and place all the pine trees through which Santa would come walking on his way to Birsta City. Just to spice things up it started to rain insanely just as we started shooting! All my powerpacks had to be covered and i backed up my car to get some protection for my computer and camera.
Santa Claus and his little elfs was quite wet and cold when they after the first shoot went inside to warm up, i enjoyed some me-time in the cold rain while packing all the equipment 🙂 Now it was time for picture nr 2!
The second picture was shot inside the shopping center, and the idea was to show Santa trying to keep track of all his elfs going crazy in there.
I must say everybody did a terrific job, even though the cold wheather, the rain and the long day it worked out great!

A week ago i shot the new cover for LAJV Magazine. This time it was a portrait of Robin, who the magazine will follow during his training with PT Jenny at Golds Gym. I always thought that donuts is the ultimate junkfood, but insanely good to eat!, so the donuts had to be on the cover!
It wasn’t easy to shoot the training-picture! I saw Jenny like little devil sitting on Robins shoulder telling and yelling what to do and not to eat (like donuts 🙂 ). We tried different poses and setups, but it ended up with Jenny having to climb up on the treadmill! It turned very well! Like allways i have a very clear image in my head how it’s gonna look, the reality comes knocking and mess things upp!
The lighting was two Profoto Magnum reflectors in a 45 degree angle from behind, a beauty dish from above/behind and ringflash.

Yesterday i we shot the first image for the Sundsvall Dragons campaign season 2011/2012. This years images will be much more darker and more “evil” than earlier. Though some of the superhero-theme will still be there. We’ll se how it turns out.
Anyway the first image is ready and will be in the next ad for Sundsvall Dragons. It’s an image showing a rather “dangerous” Dino Gregory, which is one of the new players this season. We took another picture of Dino as well which will be more like the rest of the new pictures, but more about that later!
I hope you like it!

Today i shot images for GIF Sundsvall (soccer team), it was on assignment from POP Kommunikation. They will be used in ads during the remaining season. The first ad is due very soon so i will post it as soon as it is ready!
I have to say i was i blast to shoot them! Some images was shot completely with and by the players themselves and if i put it this way, those images will not be used in ads that are for all audiences 😀

Last week i shot another cover for LAJV Magazine. This time it was a portrait of Kim Tjernström, who is in the new Jägarna 2 movie which opens today!
The idea i had was to play a little with the classical hunter (the movie is about hunters). So i went for the classical english tweed look 🙂
So i began looking for weapons, clothes, stuffed animals and other fun things! We had found a small restaurant outside town that would be perfect as location. So we began building a hunters office in there! 😀
After a couple of hours when we almost where ready Kim came in and started changing in to his new outfit 🙂 Suddenly we had a Sir Kim in the house! 🙂
It’s really great shooting with real actors! Aspecially when you want them acting as much as i often want them to do. I just told him to look angry, crazy or to start screaming and he just went from face to face all the time. I don’t think i have one single frame looking like the other!
The shoot went great and thanks to Madde and Marianne who helped out with the props, we had everything we needed in place!

Last week i went up to Sollefteå to shoot some pictures of cross country genius and double winner of the Vassaloppet Jörgen Brink. It was some portraits of him for a magazine about the new E4 highway in Hudiksvall. The weather could have been better, rain and heavy fog was all i could see when i drove into Sollefteå! but it worked out really well anyway, that light combined with my flash turned out really nice!
We shot all the pictures up on Hallsta mountain, at the roller ski course they have there. His very nice little daughter was with him as well, and she thought i worked too slow as she wanted to get home as soon as possible 😀
I’ll post some of the images as soon as the magazine is out. But for now you will have to settle for a nice group shot of us all!
