LAJV december 2012

December 3rd, 2012

Sandra Jonsson, or more known as Sweet Sandy, was the portrait for the december issue of LAJV Magazine. Sweet Sandy has a webshop with the same name which sells 40/50/60’s looking clothes.

My vision was to shoot the cover in some cool looking warehouse with her and a lot of boxes on the way to be sent out to customers.
We didn’t find any cool looking warehouse nearby, but a nice big old garage under one of the hotels down town looked really promising.
We packed the car full of gear and went there. It took some time to fold up all the boxes which would be in the image. But as time went by the corner in the garage started to look like a nice old warehouse from the 50’s ๐Ÿ™‚
Sandy did a great job acting in the image!

Nashville, second shoot!

November 21st, 2012

The next picture we shot for Permobil was a scene where this guy in his Permobil was pulling up a truck from a ditch! They’d found a great old truck that was perfect for the shoot. And the location was on a road just by a cool old barn. It was kind of tricky to shoot there as i stood in the middle of a road where about every big truck in the US was passing by ๐Ÿ˜€ And since a lot of my lighting was out in the road as well we had one gut on each light to move them every time a truck came by.
The shoot went very well and thanks to everybody for a terrific time!
Now there is some post production to be done!

Nashville, first shoot!

November 21st, 2012

We’ve done two more pictures in the same series as the others i’ve done for Permobil. This time we were shooting a lumberjack chopping wood and a truck that was stuck!
For the first shoot we set up everything on some kind of field. It felt like the middle of nowhere but actually it was just a couple of minutes from downtown Nashville. The place was perfect but the only thing missing was a couple of trees. Well what do you do? You go out and cut down two trees, bring them with the tractor and set them up! ๐Ÿ™‚
While we where setting up everything we got a visit from som of the local cows ย ๐Ÿ™‚ They got to be in the picture later of course!

Well, there was quite some fixing with all the wood and trees, but at last we started shooting! I think it will turn out really good! Everybody did a great job!

Since the product we where shooting not yet has been released weยดre not allowed to show it yet. Thereby the blur i the picture.

New images for Yohio!

November 21st, 2012

Last week i shot new images of YOHIO. The images are to be used for press releases and of course now that he is picked to compete in the “melodifestivalen” (Swedens pre eurovision song contest) i guess they will be needing new images of his new look which is more boy-like then his old look.

Now we’re crossing our fingers that he qualifies to the big Swedish final this spring!

LAJV cover november

November 5th, 2012

One of the fastest cover shoots ever, at least when it comes to the timeline between getting the info about who to shoot and doing the actual shoot!

Anyway, the guy for this issue was Fredrik, who is extremely good at fixing up engines. Me and Erik from LAJV met Fredrik in is shop where we were doing the shoot.
I had in my head imagined an old shop from -73 with spilled oil and old engines everywhere. That is NOT how the look nowadays i can tell you ๐Ÿ™‚ More like an surgery room than what i thought ๐Ÿ™‚ Very clean and computers an rolling shelfs with tools hanging neatly.

We found an engine which we hanged in front of him and then i started with the lighting before i began shooting. Lucky for me Fredrik had seen some of my earlier covers so it didn’t come as a complete chock when i asked him to start to act and scream! ๐Ÿ˜€ But the rest of the people in the shop came to a complete stop as we started ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks to Erik for the picture from the shoot!

Birsta City Magazine winter 2012

October 30th, 2012

Well, suddenly it’s winter again and christmas is around the corner! Just as usually it was time to shoot the cover for Birsta City Magazine. Earlier we had trucks of real snow ordered for these shoots, but this year we decided to shoot the cover at Santas home ๐Ÿ˜€ We found a great cottage up on one of the mountains here in town. I had gathered a bunch of props and when i got to the cabin i found just as much!
We ย moved furniture and things around for quite some time before it was all done! And Malte, our Santa for the day, did a great job. So after som directing and shooting our Santa could go to his santa-things and we went on to shooting the other image, which was an image of Santas front door!

The final result turned out great. but you’ll have to wait until the magazine is out before you can see it!

Rabih in the studio

October 4th, 2012

Today i shot a bunch of promo pictures of Rabih Jaber for his upcoming album. You might remember him from Swedish Idol 2009! A really cool guy with a even cooler voice! I’m looking forward to posting the finished images, he really rocks in front of the camera.
Took some shots of his producer Jocke as well, the one below is not one of the images that will be used ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dragons Basketball 2012/2013

October 2nd, 2012

For this season it was time for new images for Dragons Basketball, last years Swedish champions. The images are to be used on posters. web and game adds. Last seasons images we did you can read about hรคr,ย hรคr ochย hรคr. This year we made images in black and white with some game feeling in them. The first one out was a picture of the old champion passing on his knowledge to one of the new guys in the team.

LAJV october 2012

September 27th, 2012

Time flies by! It was time for yet another cover for LAJV Magazine! This time ย we went to an old forge, like an black smiths cottage! The person we shot was skicross wonder Anna Holmlund. After the last season starting off with a nasty fall and a damaged knee sheยดs back for a new season!
The idea for the picture was to have her leg covered in chains and locks just like Harry Houdini ๐Ÿ™‚ and with her trying to break loose!

We had some problems with the sun coming in through the door where i shot, but we found some big paper signs that we put up, and one of my softboxes was used to cover my computer screen from the sun.
The light setup was as usually two Profoto Magnum reflectors from behind, a Profoto Beautydish as fill light in the cottage and the ringflash ofcourse. It was kind of tight to set up everything in there so one of the flash heads had to be be stuck between the wall and the fireplace ๐Ÿ˜€

I had great help from Erik & Finn from the magazine and since i forgot to take any behind the scenes images i was happy to get Finn’s iPhone photos!

The board goes in the water

September 1st, 2012

Well, it was time for yet another cover for LAJV-magazine. This time it was a portrait of seven (!!) persons. The article was about a event that the rock club Pipeline is arranging to raise money for a new sound system to the club.

I wanted them to look like a cross between the french revolution, some rebels and the landing in Normandie ๐Ÿ˜€ I found a little stone beach be the sea which was perfect. As usually there was no electricity there so i used three Pro-7Bs for the lights. I told them to run towards me and scream there hearts out, they really went for it i can tell you! They ran like there was a fire behind them ๐Ÿ˜€ Very good!

They had brought some props from the club that was perfect for the image!

I think it turned out great, I hope you like them!
