Last thursday i went out inte the deep woods of Hรคlsingland to shoot portraits of a guy driving a big tractor for cutting timber.
I took about an hour to drive down there and about 30 minutes of walking into the woods to get to where he was working. And let me tell you that walking into the woods with one big camerabag on my back, a big case of lightstands, a PRO7B batery back with xtra battery really feels awful ๐
Anyway, later on it i found out that i’d stopped my car about 300 meters to early and the actual walk would have been would have been about 10 minutes if i had stopped at the “right” place …
Anyway the job turned out really well and the magazine liked the pictures a lot! And the fact that i got some exercise just comes as a big plus!
Last wednesday i shot some new images forย Mittplagg once again! Three models and a whole lot of clothes was what we had to work with. I started shooting the product shots as the models where getting their make up made. We had to do a lot of ironing and stretching before everything looked perfect. The images with the models went like a breeze, everyone except one girl had been on these shoots before. Last time we had all the models use a trampoline on the pictures, but this time we made more classic pictures.
Yesterday a went to shoot a picture in a theater ๐ I need an image of a red curtain so i found a theater with that nearby. I needed the curtain to be hanged a special way so we had to lower the rig in the ceiling to redo the curtain! But as soon as that was done i could take the picture!
The best think with my job as a photographer is the variation of assignments i get! Last friday Kindbergs came by to shoot some new images for their new album and poster. We shot everybody individually so i can put them together later with another background!
Yesterday i was shooting drinks all day! The agency Sweet Williams & POP was designing a new drink menu for the restaurant Invito. I’ve shot their drink menu for three years now, a very pleasant job ๐
I thinkwe shot somewhere between 20 & 25 drinks! Since some of the images was to shot from above i had to climb ip on the bar for those. I guess i was the first to do that, at least with a camera in my hand ๐
During my exhibition i got a lot of questions about how i make one of my images. Maybe it’s kind of hard to explain it in short but i put together a short clip of how i made the “Stanle Cup” image for Prosharp. Everything i did won’t show in the clip but you get an idea of how it was made ๐
If you want to see some behind the scenes pictures and read about this shoot you can do that here
Yesterday (sunday) i shot a band called Zifella who just signed with Ninetone Records. The pictures are for the new album and promotion. We started out in the studio and shot both group images and solo. When we’d gotten what we wanted we went down to a really cool public garage where we did two more shots. Lucky for us there were not so many people out parking a sunday evening so we had the place more or less to ourselves.
In total i think we did 4-5 different group shots that i’ll publish as soon as i’m finished with them!
Last monday i shot the DJ-duo VHS. They just got picked up by Ninetone and they needed new promotional pictures. We did the shoot at Sundsvall City Hall, in one of the rooms behind the big hall. Like always all the corners and walls are in the way when i set up the light but it worked out ok anyway ๐ We took five different shots and i’ve just fixed the two first ..
Last week i was asked to shoot an image for Skodas customer magazine. They had seen a picture i’d done and wanted something in the same style. So i packed my car and went out shooting!
They had contacted a family that was my models for the day, with them they had their Skoda and a load of stuff to have in and around the car.
We shot the image at a nice location just by the sea. So when we got there it was just to start setting up all the lights and ofcourse pack the car full of stuff and models!
The images i’ve made for Permobil has always been really fun to do, so also last week when we shot yet another image. The theme for this one was swedish birthday party in the summer so we had birthday cake, cookies, ballons and of course kids! The sun was shining like never before at the house we used for the day.
We had two models with Permobil chairs for the day, so after we were done with the birthday picture we shot another more traditional picture down at the beach.
As usually i had a blast at this Permobil shoot and now i just have to finish up the post production on this one!
